YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body, Starter Pack (Includes Online Course Access)

If I could give this 20 out of 5 stars I would!! We did this study with our High School Youth Group (10-12th graders). It is AMAZING!! Theology of the Body is the reason we started teaching Youth Group, we wanted to share this amazing teaching with teens, so they would know how much God loves them, and how practicing chastity will make them happy (contrary to what the world says). The program is laid out in a wonderful way, getting deeper and deeper into this beautiful teaching with each session. My husband and I split our teens up into 2 groups (boy & girls) and the discussions that sprung from the videos and questions for thought were amazing. If you can do this study in 2 groups by gender, you will find more honest and plentiful questions, because, let's face it, at any age it's hard to talk about these topics with members of the opposite sex, and never more awkward than the teen years! It is heartbreaking that these teens were previously so influenced by the culture, unaware of the Catholic Teaching on sexuality, marriage, contraception, same-sex attraction, etc. The videos and articles walked the teens (and us!) through the beautiful teachings of the Theology of the Body and Humane Vitae in a way the teens could understand, while not "dumbing down" the message. This is so easy for a busy leader to use, that we will be using this with our High School youth groups for years to come.
