Great opener!

This training video is a must for those who are thinking of doing the TOB for their families and students. I enjoyed the training videos and understanding questions because it gave me a chance to review what was discussed. As an RE consultant, I am recommending this and the TOB for Middle Schools program as well as the other AP programs for schools here in Vancouver, BC.

Wow! Practical and deep advice for parents and educators

We have two girls (10 and 12) and went through with them with Ascension TOB Middle School program early this year. They loved it! I am also a volunteer catechist at our small parish and have helped several Confirmation candidates with programs like Dynamic Catholic and formed.org. But I have never taken the next step on because I didn't know how. This program gives me the confidence and support that I needed. The questions in every talk open and close issues I didnt even know I had on this. Every talk in this program is so relevant! On parenting from birth, on going way deeper when reading the Creation story, Ephesians...on undersraning Human Vitae, on guiding our youth to their true identity and happiness. God bless

A Must!

What a blessing this course is to me and will be to the middle schoolers that I will be presenting the Theology of the Body program to at our Catholic school. I had been praying for some guidance in facilitating this curriculum when I received an invitation to sign up for this course two weeks before starting the program. This course was exactly an answer to my prayer. The format of the course lays an easy to understand theological foundation and then provides the "how to." I will be referring back to the course, as I present this valuable program to our middle schoolers.

Never too Old to Learn

I am a catechist for my parish and I just completed the TOB training course. In the past, I have taught the original TOB course twice to students in grades 10 and 11. I also taught the updated YOU! program to my high schoolers three years ago. I wanted to take the course to get certified to make sure I was still getting the most out of the curriculum and to personally see if there was something I could learn to better present the material. I did learn some new strategies for teaching the material and was glad for the suggestions to "practice" explanations, terminology and examples with a friend so you can feel more confident. I also liked the affirmation offered in the course to parents and teachers to be understanding of the place where their child/student is coming from since all family situations are different and our teens are facing more challenges than ever before. I already read the original TOB by Pope John Paul II as well as Love and Responsibility which was a huge help in being able to teach this course to our young people. I don't know how well I would have done if I was not familiar with these books so perhaps, that should be more encouraged. Christopher West's book on TOB is an easier read which gives you the basics of TOB. All in all, no matter how many times you teach this course, there is always something to learn! Thank you to Brian Butler and the whole team for their extraordinary work!
